It's great you've come to The Virtual Church Prayer Room! To get started select "Post Prayer" from the main menu above. First, though, it's worth reading the pointers below.

In The Virtual Church Prayer Room you can request others to pray for a matter that's concerning you. Alternatively, you can post the prayer you've prayed. Then others can join with you in that prayer. Select "Post Prayer" from the menu above to see the prayer request posts.

While you're in the prayer room pray for people who've posted a prayer request. If you want to encourage someone who has requested prayer or you want to add your own prayer to theirs then you can do so in the form of a posted reply. It will be visible on that page.

Request prayer

At times it helps greatly to have others pray with you. There is spiritual power and authority that accrues to prayer that two people or more pray in agreement. Jesus said, "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven." Matthew 18:19.

One of the great values of being a member of a church is that you can ask other members during an evening fellowship meeting or a Sunday gathering to pray with you. Sometimes though for one reason or another it can be that this is not available to you. The Prayer Room of The Virtual Church is for just such a situation. In the Prayer Room you can ask others to pray with you. You can post a request for prayer in the Prayer Room. Select "Post Prayer" from the main menu above.

The pastor of The Virtual Church - Pastor Simon Measures - sees all the posts in the Prayer Room. He prays in response to the prayer requests and agrees with the prayers where appropriate. He also responds to prayer and prayer requests with a post back in the response column if he has opportunity and a sense a word from him would help.

Answered prayer testimonies

We encourage you post answered prayer testimonies in the Prayer Room. We constantly hear people telling of prayers they have had answered. How good to put it in writing! Type in a short message that your prayer was answered and post it for others to see and be encouraged by. Select "Post Prayer" from the main menu above to do this.

Prayer guide

Jesus taught His disciples to pray to God as their Heavenly Father and to do so in His name. Jesus said, "When you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly."

Immediately after this He said, "In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven..." Later He told the disciples, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you." Matthew 6:6,9. John 16:23.

As Christians we are His disciples and what He said to His disciples then applies to us now. Therefore make your requests in prayer to God our Heavenly Father and do so in the Name of Jesus. It is faith filled prayers addressed to God in this way that He hears and answers.
